Rugby appeared in Alessandria for the first time in 1946, the year in which a group of rugby lovers created the club “Audace-Mino”.
The team played in the Italian Premiership between the 50's and 60's and also competed for two years in the rugby league championship.
Youth rugby programmes are very active with teams ranging from U6 to U18 categories and a series of  elementary and high schools that have been working for several years on the "Progetto Scuola" for the development of rugby in the area.
