Aironi Rugby is one of the two Italian franchises that take part in the RaboDirect Pro12. It was created in may 2010 after the clubs involved in the project have worked for its development for more than a year. In 2009 the Italian Rugby Board (FIR - Federazione Italiana Rugby) finally agreed to the creation of a Superclub that would try to raise the standard of Italian rugby by playing against talented teams in the RaboDirect Pro12. The teams of our territory have immediately heeded the call in order to create a franchise that aims at being the expression of the rugby movement in a region with homogeneous characteristics under an economic, infrastructural and sporting perspective.
