 The newborn franchise not only represents a progress in skill for Italian rugby but also a change in the established concept of a rugby club, in a context that welcomes all professional sports realities. Aironi rugby is the result of an eight-clubs sinergy in which every club will have different roles. The franchise founding clubs are Viadana Rugby, Colorno Rugby, Noceto Rugby, Mantova Rugby and Amatori Parma, while Monza Rugby, Caimani del Secchia, Salento XV, Cascavel Rugby, Rugby Alessandria, Rugby Fiorenzuola, Primavera Rugby Roma, Rugby Como, Rugby Guastalla, Union Rugby Cagliari, VII Rugby Torino, Seregno Rugby, Adriatica Rugby, Sant'Andrea Rugby, Amatori Rugby Civita Castellana, Rugby Bologna 1928, Isana Rugby, Caimani Rugby and Rugby Lodi will be supporting clubs.
Celtic League clubs are characteristic because they represent more than a single city, they collect under the same emblem similar bigger or smaller regions from which they draft the majority of their athletes. Aironi Rugby believe in this format and are willing to be the expression of the rugby movement in a region with homogeneous characteristics under an economic, infrastructural and sporting perspective.
