Following the match between the Ospreys and Aironi on Friday 17 February, Mauro Bergamasco, Aironi back row forward, has been cited by the independent RaboDirect Pro12 Citing Commissioner for the match, Richard Gwynn, for foul play under IRB Law 10.4 (a)*.
The player’s hearing, before an independent RaboDirect Pro12 Disciplinary Committee, will be held on Wednesday (22 February) in Edinburgh.
*Law 10.4 (a) states: “A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder head or knee(s)”.
